Little Italy Festa – Taylor Street

Taylor Street is one of the most historic neighborhoods in Chicago. From the late 1800s to about the 1950s, this area was a hub for Italian immigrants to settle and establish their families. It soon became Chicago's "Official" Little Italy. Chicago's Little Italy Festa-Taylor Street celebrates the great history of the neighborhood and the rich culture of the generations of Italians who settled there decades ago. Fabulous food from award-winning area restaurants, several stages of continuous family entertainment, quality merchandise from Italy, and colorful cultural attractions make this event one of the most popular of the summer. Sponsored by Little Italy Chicago Neighborhood Association and Produced by Ron Onesti (who was born on Taylor Street) of Onesti Entertainment, Owner of The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Owner of the Des Plaines Theatre, Little Italy Festa-West in Addison, and Festa Pasta Vino on Oakley Avenue in Chicago. The festival is a weekend celebrating Italian culture, cuisine and class. Chosen by the Taylor Street neighborhood, Ron will represent the Italian-American community and immerse guests in an authentic Italian experience. As colors of green, white and red parade the streets, festival-goers will experience the taste and feel of Italy on the same streets that Ron's grandparents settled on in 1911. “I was born on this street, in this neighborhood, on Taylor and Western Avenue. I am excited to not only bring this celebration of Italian heritage and culture to the next level, but also to be an active part in re-establishing Taylor Street as Chicago’s ‘official’ Little Italy.” ...

America

Founding members, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell met in high school in London in the late 1960s and quickly harmonized their way to the top of the charts on the strength of their signature song "A Horse With No Name." Fifty plus years later, these friends are still making music together, touring the world and thrilling audiences with their timeless sound. America's journey has found them exploring a wide variety of musical terrain. Their best-known tunes, which also include "I Need You," "Ventura Highway," "Don't Cross The River," "Tin Man," "Lonely People," and "Sister Golden Hair" were cornerstones of 1970's Top 40 and FM rock radio. Yet beyond their impressive catalog of hits, listeners would discover there was always much more to America than surface perceptions. The combination of Gerry Beckley's melodic porgy of his hometown’s rich musical heritage. Combining the melodic pop-rock sensibilities of Cheap Trick and a will to evolve worthy of Wilco, "Freedom" also doffs its cap to Fuller’s love of classic English bands such as The Hollies and the Rubber Soul and Revolver-era Beatles.p rock and Dewey Bunnell's use of folk-jazz elements, slinky Latin-leaning rhythms and impressionistic lyric imagery contrasted well with Dan Peek's more traditional country-rock leanings and highly personal lyrics. ...

Totally 80s Tour – The Motels, Bow Wow Wow, When In Rome II

The Motels are an American new wave band best known for the singles "Only the Lonely" and "Suddenly Last Summer", each of which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Bow Wow Wow’s music ranges from simple, goofy, non-sensical tunes to complex, crisp pop masterpieces. Their music has been described as a pastiche of Latin and African beats, 50’s rock-n-roll, and Spaghetti Western soundtracks. The band is best known for their smash hot "I Want Candy". Remember the closing scene from the cult movie Napoleon Dynamite, voted “Best Picture” at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards? The song is When In Rome’s “The Promise," the signature tune for the movie and still getting regular airplay across the country 18 years after it hit the Billboard Charts. When In Rome’s “THE PROMISE” was also # 1 on the dance chart for seven (7) weeks. Two more hits reached the top 100 as well, “HEAVEN KNOWS” and “CHILDS PLAY”. ...

Stephen Pearcy the Voice of Ratt, with special guests Quiet Riot & Autograph

As the founder, lead singer and songwriter of the metal rock band RATT, Stephen Pearcy is credited with having been a pioneer of the early 80's Sunset Strip rock scene. Having led his creation to Mega Multi-Platinum Success Year after Year from 1984 to 1991. Capturing critical acclaim for his performances, style and uniquely salacious vocals. Pearcy formed RATT in Los Angeles in 1982 from his previous band Mickey RATT. Known for their overtly sexual appearance, rebellious attitude and take no prisoner approach to metal, Atlantic Records recognized RATT’s potential and star power thus signing the band to a contract resulting in the 1984 album “Out of the Cellar”, which became one of many multi-platinum successes. RATT climbed up the charts with singles from “Out of the Cellar”, soaring past Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy”, Van Halen’s “Panama”, Madonna’s “Borderline” and David Bowies “Blue Jean”. Autograph left an everlasting imprint on Rock ‘N’ Roll. The platinum-selling Southern California hard rock juggernauts gave the world the ubiquitous hit “TURN UP THE RADIO”, seminal albums such as Sign In Please, That’s The Stuff, and Loud and Clear as well as unforgettable sold out shows alongside everybody from Mötley Crüe and Ronnie James Dio to Van Halen and Aerosmith. Given those accolades, when they disbanded in 1989, they never left the hearts and minds of millions of fans around the globe. Simply put, a reunion was both inevitable. Legendary bassist and Metal Health founding member RUDY SARZO has returned to the band after almost a 20 year absence. As per the wishes of Frankie Banali who passed away in 2020, and the Banali estate QUIET RIOT continues its historic journey in 2022. The lineup is composed of QUIET RIOT guitarist ALEX GROSSI, vocalist JIZZY PEARL and is now joined by Type O Negative drummer JOHNNY KELLY. QUIET RIOT is a rock & roll phenomenon. Famously described as the first heavy metal band to top the pop chart at #1 on Billboard magazine, the Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album Metal Health. ...

Michael Schenker laid the foundations for one of hard rock’s most glorious solo careers of all times. And while nobody expected anything less from a former guitarist for Scorpions and UFO, it’s close to impossible mentioning everything Michael has built over the past 50 years, or the countless people he influenced or played with. This, truly, is the stuff that hard rocking myths are made of. I never looked back, is how Michael dryly sums up an extraordinary career. Due to this mindset, he only realized much later what a huge impact his playing had made on the world of metal and hard rock. Very few guitarists can be cited as a primary influence for the likes of James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Dave Mustaine, Dimebag Darrell, Slash or Kerry King. ...
