BOURBON ‘N BRASS SPEAKEASY: ST. LOUIS BLUES WITH MEAZA JOY with special guest IRENE MICHAELS

Join us in our intimate Bourbon ‘N Brass Speakeasy, located on the 2nd floor of the Des Plaines Theatre, for an evening of St. Louis Blues with Meaza Joy with special guest Irene Michaels! Food and hand-crafted cocktails are available for purchase. There is a $10 entertainment fee for this event. No RSVP required. Seating is first-come, first-seated.  Doors will open at 6:30PM  |  Entertainment will begin at 8:30PM.

Meaza Joy is a singer/songwriter, model, and actress mentored by Amanda Fish, Annika Chambers and many more. She is part of the Pinetop Perkins Foundation Youth and joins them in fundraising throughout the year in multiple cities. Meaza Joy has performed at notable venues like the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN (2024/25), up and down Beale Street during the BMA’s and IBC, the National Blues Museum in St. Louis, Rudy’s Jazz Room in Nashville with the Wooten brothers, and is a regular for the national anthem performance at City Park Arena for a St. Louis City MLS team and other events around St. Louis. She has recently played at Buddy Guy’s legendary Blues Club and the 2026 Chicago Blues Fest. Her soulful voice draws comparisons to Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Koko Taylor and Etta James.

 Chicago-born Live Vocal Headliner Irene Michaels is redefining longevity in music. She is a two-time Josie Music Award winner, including Best Pop Song of the Year for “I Like Rain,” and has also received recognition from the Broadway World Regional Awards and is a World Entertainment Award winner. Recording with TRAX Records and Tribeca Records, Irene has achieved Grammy consideration and continued national recognition. In 2024, she was invited to perform at the 10th Anniversary Josie Music Awards at the CMA Theatre in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. She has delivered sold-out performances in Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York, as well as a high-profile Times Square appearance. A powerful live vocalist blending storytelling with high-energy production, Irene Michaels continues to command the stage. At 80 years young, she remains firmly in her “Forever Young” era, with new music and a forthcoming EP on the horizon.
