Niles Metropolitan Chorus & Musica Lumina Orchestra Presents Handel’s Messiah

$25.00The Niles Metropolitan Chorus has been bringing great music to Chicago’s northern suburbs for 10 years. Specializing in the art of the oratorio, these singers are dedicated to bringing to life great music of all periods and styles. Artistic Director Marek Rachelski conducts Handel’s MESSIAH from the harpsichord as he leads the Chorus, Musica Lumina Orchestra and professional soloists through the First Part (Advent/Christmas portion) with an added bonus of several more arias and choruses including the famous HALLELUJAH CHORUS. NMC has accomplished milestones since its debut in 2013 including performing at Chicago’s Orchestra Hall in 2019, collaborating with the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the DePaul Community Chorus. NMC has proudly showcased works of Beethoven, Bruckner, Gounod, Mendelssohn, Rutter, Saint-Saëns, the Requiems of Cherubini, Mozart, and Faure, Haydn’s Creation, a yearly Handel’s Messiah, and the Passions of St. John and St. Matthew of J.S. Bach. The Musica Lumina Orchestra offers a separate series of programs from chamber music to full orchestra sure to delight any audience.
