Chris Clarke aka Young Hump is the protégé of Shock G and the newest member of Digital  Underground. In the Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez On Me” Money B plays himself and Chris Clarke plays the role of Shock G/Humpty Hump. Collectively they represent Digital Underground in the film. Musically they have formed to become the official touring and recording representation of Digital Underground. \nThe Sugarhill Gang is a hip-hop group formed in 1979. Their hit “Rapper’s Delight”\, released the same year they were formed\, was the first rap single to become a top 40 hit. Rapper’s Delight is also credited with popularizing hip hop as a new musical genre.

Hansen pursues him him a U.S. Navt recruiting office\, and\, the next thing they know\, both are in the Navy and aboard an overseas transport ship. Madelyn Phillips is on board and Scruggs is the the ship’s Master-of-Arms. They overhear a mysterious conversation between Madelyn and the ship’s radio officer. Later\, Madelun induces the pair to take her off the ship and into a row boat. She disappears and they are picked up by a French ship\, which sinks a German U-Boat. When the war ends they learn that Madelyn was an operative of the U.S. Secret Service. \nLive accompaniment provided by Chicagoland’s premiere organist Jay Warren!

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the Delta Blues with an all-star musical lineup including Downtown Charie Brown Band\, Donna Herula\, and John Primer.   Delta Blues is one of the earliest-known styles of blues.\, originating in the Mississippi Delta. Guitar and harmonica are its dominant instruments; slide guitar is a hallmark of the style. Although Delta Blues existed in some form or another at the turn of the twentieth century\, it was first recorded in the late 1920s\, making this celebration of the Delta Blues a perfect fit for the Des Plaines Theatre which was built in 1925. \nThe Downtown Charlie Brown Blues Band\, a Chicagoland favorite\, is one of the hottest blues bands in the area. The phenomenal voice of Dee Dee Hardy and rugged bluesy voice of Charlie Brown keep the house rocking all night long. Musical influences are Muddy Waters\, Robert Johnson\, Billie Holiday\, Howlin’ Wolf\, Pine Top Perkins\, Sarah Vaughan\, Aretha Franklin and others. \nDonna Herula\, 2022 Independent Blues Award Winner and 2021 Blues Artist of the Year in Doc’s Blues Awards\, is a Chicago-born blues singer\, songwriter\, and slide guitarist that has a passion for playing traditional Delta Blues\, early Chicago Blues\, Folk\, Americana\, and Roots music.  Using electrified resonator guitars\, her sound combines her love for the music of the Deep South and Chicago with her love of blues guitar improvisation. \nJohn Primer is a 3-time Grammy nominee and winner of the 2023 Blues Foundation Blues Music Award Winner. It was held at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom\, the same venue where The BAND first performed back in April of 1969. Booked by legendary Impresario and Promoter Bill Graham who had promoted dozens of concerts in between those years! This Rockumentary shares the storied highlights of the concert weaving a multimedia show with LIVE MUSIC by some of Chicago’s finest musicians and singers. DESCRIPTION:Announcing Wednesdays and Thursdays LIVE at Bourbon ‘N Brass in Bourbon ‘N Brass Speakeasy\, located on the 2nd floor of the Des Plaines Theatre. Local musicians will be invited to perform in the intimate Speakeasy\, allowing them to showcase their talent in this brand-new Speakeasy.  These events are FREE with food and hand-crafted cocktails available for purchase.  Attending a speakeasy-style musical show is a great way to experience the history and culture of music. The intimate setting allows for a more personal connection between the audience and the performers\, creating a memorable and enjoyable evening for all involved.\n\nNo RSVP required.  Seating is first-come\, first-seated.

SUMMARY:BANGOS – TRIBUTES TO THE BANGLES AND GO-GOS
DESCRIPTION:The BanGos are an all-female tribute band to the Bangles and the GoGo’s. The band is comprised of five seasoned musicians who have come together to pay tribute to these two iconic bands from the 1980’s. Lead singer Rita Posillico is a multi-talented musician and vocalist who delivers an unbelievable live performance with her explosive energy and vocal style. Drummer Zoe Grella and bassist Daniela Ammendolea provide solid rhythmic grooves that keep the crowd dancing from start to finish. Guitarist Tia Vincent-Clark and keyboardist Jo ReyMartin completes this quintet with note-to-note accuracy and vocal harmony.
