He soon later became the staff guitarist for the first New York Broadway National Touring Company’s production of “The Wiz\,” that toured across the United States. Michael’s sound is true to the heart – filled with emotions\, style\, technique. His creative abilities allow him to compose his own original music\, which allows him to tell a story – going beyond normal boundaries and giving his listeners only the best!!! After graduating from the University of Illinois and four years of extensive touring with Earl Fatha’ Hines and two years with Count Basie and his Orchestra (recording with both)\, Eric returned to Chicago and embarked on a richly diverse career that blends studio work\, concert performances and jazz festivals\, both in and out of town. He’s in constant demand on clarinet and saxophone by small groups and big bands that need a soloist who possesses both erudition and passion. Along the way he’s worked with the who’s who of jazz. He walks in the footsteps of the giants while expressing a vision that is entirely his own.

Highlights include the Grand Opening of the Chicago Convention Center and the Inaugural Ball for the New Chicago Symphony Orchestra Center. As a recording artist\, Brian has recreated clarinet styles of Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman for television and radio commercials.
