FREE SCREENING: Mountain Men – Gothic Line 1945

Please join us for a free movie screening of MOUNTAINMAN: 1945 - FROM THE UNITED STATES TO THE GOTHIC LINE IN ITALY PLESE CLICK YELLOW "RESERVE TICKETS" BUTTON T RESERVE YOUR TICKETS! A three-episode television miniseries set during the Second World War as seen through the eyes of a group of Mountaineers from the 10th Mountain Division, from the Division’s arrival in Italy in January 1945 until the end of the war. The miniseries, which features contributions from films of the time, is entirely based on real events, documented through the memories of still living veterans, and tells the personal experiences of the soldiers, also focusing on their relations with the civilian population. Set in the villages and battlefields of the time, the miniseries also reconstructs some of the bloody battles and acts of heroism that led to the breakthrough of the German front in the central sector of the Gothic Line, in the mountains of the high Apennines, between the provinces of Bologna, Modena and Pistoia, as a final act towards the end of the Second World War in Italy. A remembrance project and, at the same time, a thank you to those soldiers, then young men in their early twenties, sent to fight in Italy in the name of freedom and democracy. Far from home and their loved ones, in contact with people of a completely different culture and customs, in damp holes dug in the ground, cold as only the winters of the time could be, surrounded by rain and snow, at risk of dying at any moment from enemy artillery fire or in a fight. The atrocious experience of losing a comrade changed and marked their lives forever. Memories and nightmares, which many veterans report, accompanied them for years, well beyond the return to their homeland.  A project with a cultural-historical objective aimed mainly at the younger generations to pass on to them and to keep alive, by fixing it in images, the memory of the past and emancipation through mutual, equal exchange in relations between different cultures.  The second goal is to raise awareness and respect for the area where the battles depicted in the miniseries took place, and to provide viewers with an informed incentive to visit such places.  The miniseries, dubbed in Italian and US English, with a total duration of 1 hour and 50 minutes, is complemented by two documentaries with extra content. The first introduces, through its history, the 10th Mountain Division in the context of the miniseries. The second is a Then and Now that, using film footage and photographs, traces places, towns and battlefields of the time, comparing them with the same places in the present day. Four years of historical research, contacting veterans, and writing the script. Several months to source the twelve sets and obtain approvals from the various land owners, municipal offices and law enforcement agencies for their preparation and to the use of stage weapons and special effects. A total of forty-five days of filming, involving 80 actors and reenactors, 11 technicians, 7 assistants, and vintage military vehicles.

Andrew Dice Clay: Live on Stage

ANDREW DICE CLAY is proud to be one of America's most controversial and outrageous comics. And it’s that persona that has made him a Rock and Roll, Comedy Legend. When he released his debut album, Dice, the parental advisory label simply read “Warning: This album is offensive.” Despite media backlash, Dice’s rise to fame was nothing less than meteoric, creating “Dicemania”. He became the first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row, as well as sporting arenas all across the country and was the only performer ever “Banned For Life from MTV.”   In 1992, Dice performed in front of the largest audience ever by a comedian at that time, when he shared the stage with Guns & Roses at the Rose Bowl and most notably for his recurring role on the final season of Entourage, when he starred to great critical acclaim alongside Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine, Martin Scorsese’s Vinyl and most recently in the award winning, blockbuster hit, A Star Is Born. His other notable TV credits are The Celebrity Apprentice, where he is proud to have been the first celebrity thrown off the show that season and his Showtime series, for two seasons, called Dice, which was very loosely based on his own life.

The Bacon Brothers Freestanding Tour

The Bacon Brothers have spent the better part of three decades exploring their own mix of folk, rock, soul, and country music. They call that diverse sound "forosoco," and it's taken them around the world, from headlining gigs in Japan to American performances at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry and Gruene Hall. The exploration continues with the band's twelfth release, Ballad Of The Brothers. It's a record that highlights not only the similarities between Kevin Bacon (known worldwide as an A-list Hollywood actor) and Michael Bacon (celebrated as an Emmy-winning composer), but the differences, too. The two siblings may be bound together by blood and a mutual love of American roots music, but they've grown into sharp songwriters and cinematic storytellers with their own distinct approaches. Ballad Of The Brothers makes room for both of those approaches, offering a mix of edgy alt-rock ("Take Off This Tattoo"), Motown-inspired soul ("Put Your Hand Up"), fingerpicked folk ("Let That Be Enough"), and everything in between. The album also marks the continuation of a musical partnership that began long ago in Philadelphia, where the Bacons were raised on a soundtrack of 1970s singer/songwriters, Philly soul bands, and classic rock acts. Multiple decades and countless shows later, they're creating their own soundtrack, saluting their old-school influences while making music that's undeniably modern.

The Chapin Family presents Harry Chapin’s Greatest Stories LIVE

In the long rich history of Family Groups in American Roots Music, THE CHAPIN FAMILY has a special place. When these singers, songwriters and extraordinary live performers come together, magic happens. Tom Chapin, Steve Chapin, Jen Chapin, and The Chapin Sisters (Abigail Chapin and Lily Chapin) are all powerful musical artists who have active careers and multiple recordings, who just happen to be related, and who love making music together. Harry Chapin (1942 - 1981) was one of our most passionate, political, prolific and inspiring songwriters. Two generations of the musical Chapin Family will gather to bring the songs of Harry Chapin to life. Backed by The Harry Chapin Band (including Big John Wallace and Howard Fields), the Family will perform Harry’s classic songs, including Cat’s In The Cradle, Taxi, Mr. Tanner, Mail Order Annie, W•O•L•D, and Circle. To honor Harry’s commitment to fighting hunger, we will have a Food Drive in connection with this concert. The audience is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, which will be donated to a local food bank. Experience iconic performances and timeless hits from Harry Chapin’s Greatest Stories LIVE. Don't miss this unforgettable night of music!
